PATHOPHYSIOLOGY OF FIBROADENOMA
Pathophysiology of fibroadenoma is linked with the process of ageing. It is more commonly occur in the reproductive age group. It arises from connective tissue cells, which are cells that are normally involved in the functional and mechanical support of the surrounding tissues in the breast. It may demonstrate estrogen and progesterone sensitivity and may grow during pregnancy.
